Wolves vs Eagles: Game Preview
Wolves will look to strengthen their bid for a place in the WBBL play-offs when they make the long trip to Newcastle Eagles on Sunday afternoon.
It's a key game for Lee Ryan's team who sit eighth in the table with a 4-9 record as they face a team one place ahead of them with five wins from 15 games.
Wolves opened their league campaign in late January with a 91-87 overtime loss against Eagles, and Ryan's team will look win by at least five points to take the head-to-head decider between the teams.
Greeta Uprus led Wolves with 23 points before fouling out in that game against Eagles, while Amari Carter added 14 points and currently leads Wolves scoring with an average of 13.2 points per game, adding 1.8 assists and 3.9 rebounds. Lauren Milligan leads Ryan's side with 7.6 rebounds and 2.2 steals, while Beth Sarson is dishing out a team-high 2.9 assists.
Alison Gorrell leads Eagles with 23.7 points, 7.1 rebounds and and 5.3 assists per game
