The WBBL side take a long trip to Cardiff Met Archers today in the first round of the WBBL Trophy.
Wolves have had a slow start to the regular season, after losing their first four games.
Despite sitting bottom of the table, the side have shown spells of individual and team play. Most recently, Oaklands travelled to Sevenoaks Suns with just eight players and only lost by 7 points in the final minutes. The team has been plagued with a number of injuries, making their job even harder.
Guard Amari Carter has showed her ability during the tough period, averaging 16 points per game. Forwards Greeta Uprus and Louise Rouse have also contributed as they average 12.5 and 10 points respectively.
After losing their first game against Nottingham Wildcats, Archers have won their last two. With a regular season record of 2-1, the side sit middle of the table.
Winning their games by an average margin of 3.5 points, Cardiff have shown they can close out games well.
The team are led by the pairing of Mara Marchizotti and Robyn Lewis. Marchizotti is averaging 11.7 points and 8.3 rebounds, while Lewis averages 10.7 points, 4.7 assists and 3 rebounds.
Archers also have a number of other players who contribute, such as Kim Kheing, Shannon Hatch and Sarah Wagstaff.
