Oaklands re-sign 5’7 Guard Beth Sarson for the upcoming 2023/23 Womens League season.
A league favourite; the Hertfordshire born guard will return to Oaklands in what will be the players sixth year in The Women’s League. Having appeared for Oaklands in all but one of those seasons, the Wolves is definitely home for Sarson! Beth is also very familiar with the Oaklands College setup, having graduated from the Wolves academy before heading to the States back in 2015. Sarson transferred to Oaklands last season, after starting the year with the Riders, and finished with 12 points and 2.3 assists per game in her 7 games.
Coach Ryan is looking forward to having Beth in the side again “We all love Beth! One of the happiest and most energetic and players in the whole league, she is a great character but just as important she is a great player! Versatile and tenacious, she can contribute in many ways for the team and what I love the most is the work she puts in year round to keep getting better. A phenomenal example to the academy players at Oaklands, I’m looking forward to having her home all season this year.”
Sarson added “I excited to be back for the full 23/24 season! I’m looking forward to seeing this exciting roster come together and working with the coaches to see what we can do on the floor. Oaklands is always a great environment to be in and I can’t wait for the British Basketball League to get started!”
