Junior basketball returned to Oaklands this weekend as five teams took to the court in a series of games against Richmond Knights.
Wolves juniors had managed just two games against other clubs during the brief periods that Basketball England allowed inter-club games, but were one of the first clubs in the country to get back into action after six weeks of training and three weeks on inter-club games.
The under-12 boys development side (pictured) were first on court and with six of their seven players playing their first game against another club they were beaten 65-21. That set the tone for the day as all three boys teams were comfortably beaten.
Sunday saw the girls in action as the under-15 team defeated Richmond under-16 B team 54-30 thanks, in part, to a 14 point, 14 rebound Caitlin Ryan double-double before the under-12s were heavily beaten at the end of a long weekend.
Wolves return to action tomorrow, Saturday 29th May with a hectic day that sees three boys' games against Oxford along with a pair of match-ups with Richmond.
