Boros Returns to Give Boost to Backcourt

Hungarian international Dorka Boros will return for her third year for the Oaklands Wolves WBBL team. The 5’9” combo guard has been a regular in her time with the Wolfpack, a two way player, Boros adds a defensive toughness to the guard position. Boros provides a threat on the offensive end as well, her high motor is perfect for the Wolves fast paced style and coupled with her excellent free-throw percentage she punishes teams in transition regularly.

Last season Boros played exclusively at the point position for the Wolves; producing averages of 7.5 points, 3.5 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game.

This season Coach Ryan will be looking to utilise her at both guard positions “Dorka is a fantastic person to have around, she is a great teammate and such a pleasure to coach, her energy is infectious! Dorka arrived 2 years ago as a driving off guard, we have worked together to improve her perimeter shooting as well has her lead guard skills during the past two seasons. This campaign will give her the change to move between the PG and SG positions and I’m confident we will see her best season yet as a result.”

The guard will continue her education with the Wolves partner institution, the University of Hertfordshire, as she enters her final year of her undergraduate psychology degree. The player had this to say about the season ahead “I’m excited to get the season started, I feel like this is one of the most competitive and talented rosters I’ve been part of. We all bring something special to the team and think we can surprise the WBBL this year.”
