Adam joins the Wolfpack

Wolves are delighted to announce the appointment of Adam Pearce as under-16 boys' head coach for the 2021/22 season.

Pearce brings a wealth of experience to the club having coached at both regional and county level as well as at AAU level in the USA.

His playing career saw a three season stint at NAIA Division II side University of Maine at Machias between 2006-2009, leading the Sunrise Conference in assists (4.9 per game) as a sophomore. while playing for Bill Brady's side he also coached Maine East AAU boys' under-17 team and helped add a grls' team to the programme.

After returning to the UK, Pearce coached Kingston Wildcats at under-16 and under-18 level as well as their senior women.

Having gained a Basketball England Level 3 coaching licence in 2011, Pearce coached several South-East regional teams at under-13, under-15 and under-17 level as well as the Surrey under-18 team over the next three years.

The new Wolves' coach also has experience running coaching programmes at South Hoops Schools and Kingston School of School of Basketball, while while outside of basketball, he works as an assistant management director for a utilities company which build and operate gas, electricity and water networks throughout Britain.

Pearce is excited about his new challenge: "It's great to be joining at an exciting time" he said. "Wolves have a strong history and a clear mission to develop local talent. I'm looking forward to meeting the players, parents and coaches - and to start helping each player grow in within a gritty, up tempo system."

Practice for Pearce's team starts on Monday, and his first chance to see them in action will come on September 19 when Wolves host a pair of under-16 pre-season tournaments.
